Clinical Study of Vestibular Training for Vertigo

前庭训练(VT)可以促进中枢代偿的获得，临床上已应用于前庭不对称引起的眩晕和平衡失调患者。相反，单侧或不对称前庭疾病的症状和体征已知由于中枢代偿而自发改善。因此，有必要进行一项关于VT治疗单侧前庭疾病的改良对照研究。将VT与三组患者的病程进行比较：药物治疗组、VT加药物治疗组8周。综合症状体征判断，经统计学处理，VT加用药和不用药两组患者的位置性眼球震颤和眩晕改善率均高于单纯用药组。在接受VT治疗的组中，疗效不受发病时间或患者年龄的影响。

Vestibular training (VT) , which may promote acquisition of the central compensation, has been clinically applied to patients with vertigo and disequilibrium due to vestibular asymmetry. On the contrary, symptoms and signs in unilateral or asymmetric vestibular disorders are known to improve spontaneously due to central compensation. Therefore, a controlled study was necessary to confirm the treatment effects of VT.A modified controlled study on treatment effects of VT for unilateral vestibular disorders was performed. The VT was compared with courses of patients in three different groups : patients treated by medication, by VT with medication during 8 weeks. It was statistically confirmed by global judgments of symptoms and signs that improvement rates of positional nystagmus and vertigo were higher in the two groups treated by VT with and without medication than the improvement rate in the medication alone group. In the groups treated by VT,the effects were not influenced by time since onset of disease or by patients age.
