『日本書紀』をはじめとする神道書は中世学問世界において各分野で重視されたから,その抄物も多岐にわたって膨大な量伝存している。本研究は,筆者が今日までに調査し終えている神道書抄物に,新しい資料を発掘・調査して,目録を完成し,日本語史研究資料としての有効性を明らかにしようとしたものである。1.発掘・目録作成(1)筆者未見の『日本書紀抄』『日本書紀歌注』『中臣祓抄』を調査した。(2)特に『祓八箇大事』『梵天帝釈委注』『休塵聞書』『神祇雑々』などの,特定の原典をもたない片仮名交じりゾ体の資料の発掘につとめた。(3)学問の系統ごとに資料を類別・整理して,目録を完成した。(1)吉田家(兼倶・兼致・兼右・兼見・梵舜・兼隆)(2)清原家(宣賢・国賢)(3)五山禅僧(月船寿桂・景徐周麟・桃源瑞仙・和仲東靖)(4)浄土僧(了誉聖冏)(5)天台僧(良遍・快尊)(6)日蓮僧(日コウ・日性)(7)その他2.日本語研究資料としての有効性(1)兼倶講の『日本書紀抄』には聞書者を異にするさまざまな抄物が伝存し,五山僧聞書きには口語度の高いものもあって,日本語研究資料として価値が高い。(2)これについで注目すべきは,五山僧の影響をうけて作成されたと見られる日蓮僧の手になる注釈書ではないかと見られる。
