ヒルベルト・モジュラー型多変数保型形式の研究は、最近盛んに行われるようになってきた。本年度は、過年度行ったヒルベルト・モジュラー群及び拡大群、Hurwitz-Maass拡大の研究に引き続き、対称ヒルベルト・モジュラー群を対象として研究を行った。実2次体Q( D)の整数環に付随して定まる対称ヒルベルト・モジュラー群に対する重さ2の尖点形式の作る次元の計算を行った。この空間の次元は、次の数論的諸量により決定される。単位元の寄与、1次元曲線の寄与、楕円元の寄与(order 2,3,4,5,6) 尖点の寄与1<D<10,000の2次体の内、ノルム-1となる単数を持つものについてコンピュータによる数値計算を実行した。これから、D=2,5,10,13,17,26,29,37,41,53,58,61,65,73,85,89,97,101,109,113,137,149,157,173,181,185,197,269,293,317,365,485の32個についてその次元が零となることが確認された。この他、分担研究者により次頁記載のものを含め、7編の研究論文を本年度発表した。最後に当補助金により多くのシンポジュウムに出席でき、多くの研究者と研究連絡を行えたことが、本研究の実施に大変役だったことを付記する。
