The music manuscripts of the Staats- und Stadtbibliothek Augsburg are an important collection with a focus on the Renaissance period.The project aims the best possible documentation and availability of the group of sources with 79 music manuscripts. This includes the conservational analysis, the musicological indexing in the Muscat database with publication via the RISM-OPAC, as well as the complete digitisation and online presentation of the source including a thermographic scan of the watermarks and the cataloguing in the DFG-funded database Watermark Information System (WZIS).
