The porpuse of this investigation is to examine the competition among the trust banks and life insurance companies in the Japanese pension market.This problem has attracted considerable attention with increase of the aged population. This study attempted to synthetically investigate two aspects of insurance business and financial business on the trust banks and life insurance companies.The following were founded,1. Trust banks maintain a superior position to life insurance companies in the Japamese pension market.2. The conducts of the trust banks and life insurance companies are closely connected with their own Japanese Keiretsu(firm group) .3. Insurance business is not independent to financial business on the trust banks and life insurance companies.

本次调查的目的是考察信托银行和寿险公司在日本养老金市场上的竞争。随着老龄化人口的增加，这一问题已经引起了相当大的关注。本研究试图从保险业务和金融业务两个方面对信托银行和寿险公司进行综合考察，主要研究内容如下：1.信托银行在日本养老保险市场上保持着相对于寿险公司的优势地位。信托银行和寿险公司的行为与其所在的日本经济集团(事务所集团)密切相关。保险业务并不是独立于信托银行和寿险公司上的金融业务。
