1.コンパクトなハウスドルフ空間上の実数値連続関数空間において,正線形作用素からなる近似法に対して,ある種のなめらかさをもつ近似関数の度合いをテスト関数系から誘導される連続率と高次の絶対モーメントによって評価した。これらの結果は,多次元のベルンシュタイン多項式作用素による連続微分可能な関数の近似精度の評価に用いられ,更に一般の実局所凸線形位相空間のコンパクトな凸部分集合上のベルンシュタイン・ロトットスキー・シュナーブル関数へ拡張される。特に,バウアー単体上でこれらの関数族から誘導されるマルコフ作用素の半群へ適用される。2.コンパクトな距離空間上の実数値連続関数空間において,正の乗作用素に関する正線形近似法に対して,すべての近似関数の収束精度をその連続率とある種のテスト関数によって誘導される高次の絶対モーメントによって評価し,コロフキン型の収束定理を量的に精密化した。これらの結果は,各種の総和法によって誘導される正線形近似法に対して広汎な応用をもつ。3.〔0.1〕に属する無理数θに対して,無理数回転C^*-環A_θのPicard群Pic(A_θ)において,その構造は,θが2次の無理数であるときと,それ以外のときとでは,異なることを示し,それぞれの場合について,Pic(A_θ)の形を決定した。4.C^2上のAppellF_4型微分方程式系(rank4)の解の基本系の間の接続公式を求め,それを利用して,この微分方程式系のモノドロミ-表現を求めた。5.2次元トーラス上のFurstenberg変換が,準離散スペクトルを持つための必要十分条件は,Anzai変換と位相共役であることを示した。
