近年,資産運用,生産管理,職務配分といった企業経営上の問題解決支援のために,さまざまな数理モデルを計算機上で実行させることにより意思決定の支援を行なう意思決定支援システム(DSS,decision support system)が注目を浴びてきている.問題の多様な状況に柔軟に対応した支援を行なうためには、モデルを実際の問題状況にカスタマイズしていくために,モデルを修正する,また,複数のモデルを結合して新しいモデルを作成する,あるいは,モデルの部分的な実行によりモデルが現実の問題をいかに忠実に反映しているかを検証するといった操作が,多種多様なモデルに対して統一的に行なえるようなモデル管理が重要となる.本研究はモデル管理を核とした意思決定システムの構築を目標とし,次のような成果を得た.第1に,経営問題のための意思決定支援システムにおいて,モデル操作を統一的に行なうための下記の機能を持ったモデル管理システムを構築した.1.経営問題の数理モデルを構築する際の構成要素となる基本モデルを作成するためのモデル記述言語およびその処理系2.小規模なモデルから複雑・大規模なモデルを構築するためのモデル統合環境3.小規模なモデルの結合体である複雑なモデルの実行制御メカニズム第2の成果としては,経営問題における典型的な問題として,製造業の生産計画問題を取り上げ,モデルを上述のモデル管理システムを組み込んだ意思決定支援システム上に作成することにより,DSSの有効性,実現可能性を示した.本研究で構築したモデル管理システムは,意思決定者が直接モデル構築とモデル操作を実時間的に行なえる環境を実現している.
