本研究では、知的障害を伴う自閉症児の行動障害に対して、各学校の適切な支援体制のもとで課題解決が図られるよう、特別支援学校教員の資質向上を目指したモジュール型研修プログラムの開発を目的とする。教員の理解度や課題に合わせて研修ができるよう、行動障害への対応を含む自閉症支援の内容を構成し、講義と協議・演習をモジュール化して短時間で行う研修として、集中的・協働的な研修プログラムを目指す。研究一年目は、本研究の研究協力機関１県のうち、１３校の特別支援学校（知的障害）の教職員（非常勤職員を除く）向けに、行動障害への対応に関する意識及び研修ニーズの把握と、在籍児童生徒の行動障害の状態及び指導・支援の取組状況を把握するためのアンケート調査を実施した。結果、行動障害のある児童生徒に関する指導・支援への困難さの要因や、行動障害への対応に関するニーズの高い研修内容の傾向の把握ができた。研究二年目は、アンケート結果を踏まえて、独立行政法人国立重度知的障害者総合施設のぞみの園が主催する「強度行動障害支援者養成研修」の内容を参考に、許諾を得た上で、特別支援学校教職員研修用として内容を一部変更して研修プログラムを構成した。その研修プログラムについて、オンラインで研究協力者に試験的に研修を行い、それぞれの研修内容毎に理解度や改善点等についてのアンケートをとるとともに、同時進行で、研究協力者が事例児を選定し事例研究を進めた。事例研究期間後に、事例児の行動変容をもとに、研修プログラムの実施から事例研究までにおける研究協力者の意識の変容について、聞き取り調査を実施した。
