项目摘要

第一に、新フリース学派の自然科学におけるフリース受容の内実を扱い、その典型としてパウル・ベルナイスにおけるアンチノミーの受容を取り上げた。ベルナイスは数学者・論理学者であるが、フリースの哲学のリバイバルとして 20 世紀初頭に成立した「新フリース学派」の構成員を自認しており、新フリース学派の創設者であるレオナルト・ネルゾンの全集の出版にも編者として関わっている。このような脈絡のもと、ベルナイスは『フリース学派論集・続編』の第 4 号に、「超越論的観念論について」と題された論文を投稿している。このベルナイスの論文の主眼は、カント哲学におけるアンチノミーの議論を再構成することを通じて、カントの超越論的観念論の立場、とりわけ空間・時間の超越論的観念性を再確認することにある。このベルナイスの論文の意図を推し量るための手掛かりとなるのが、この論文が出た 5 年後の 1918 年に、『フリース学派論集・続編』の第 5 号において、ミヒャエル・コヴァレフスキーという人物によって発表された、「超越論的観念論の根拠づけとしてのアンチノミー論」と題された論文である。この論文は、ベルナイスの論文の実質的な解説に相当するものとなっており、このコヴァレフスキーの論文を手引きとすることによって、ベルナイスの論文の意図を推し量ることができる。そこで本研究では、上記のコヴァレフスキーの論文を手引きとしつつ、ベルナイスの議論の力点を検討することによって、とりわけフリース受容という観点から、ベルナイスの論文に認められるべき思想史上の位置づけを検討した。第二に、フリースと同時代の哲学者であるショーペンハウアーにおける良心と想像力の問題を取り上げて、ショーペンハウアーのこれらの論点に認められるべきフリースとの親近性を明らかにした。これらの結果については、口頭発表等の機会に国内外で公表した
