项目摘要

本年は，2ヶ年計画の1年目であり，当初の予定通り学校外教育（塾，家庭教師，通信教育）についてのWeb調査を実施した．対象は，2023年1月時点で20歳から39歳までの男女であり，年齢と性別で層化している．本調査は，どの学校外教育を，どの程度利用したのか，を詳細にたずねており，これによって学校外教育の効果をさらに詳しく推定できる．調査データの分析結果は以下の通りである．記述統計の結果より，中学生時には，学校外教育の中では塾の利用割合が高いことがわかった．また，頻度について，通年で利用している割合が75%以上おり，目的については，塾と通信教育は受験目的だが，家庭教師は補習目的であった．加えて，無料の学校外教育や，学校での課外授業参加者は少ないことがわかった．さらに，多変量解析の結果，出身階層が高い子どもが学校外教育を利用しやすいことや，無料で提供されている学校外教育の割合はかなり低く，学校の課外授業を利用していても，学校外教育を利用する傾向があることが明らかになった．この結果は，2023年3月の数理社会学会大会にてポスター形式で発表を行っている．以上が本研究課題における独自の調査結果であるが，他にも今年度は既存の社会調査データを用いて，学校外教育が大衆化したのかについて，ディスカッションペーパーにて結果を報告した．さらには，その結果を英語に翻訳し，英語でもディスカッションペーパーを掲載しており，国内外を問わず本研究課題における結果を発信している．
