项目摘要

本研究の目的は「王領地を例に、灌漑、収税、農産物の流通の過程とそれに関わる人びとの役割と関係性について考察し、15世紀後半から16世紀のエジプトにおける村落社会と地方統治の構造を明らかにすること」である。本研究は、地方統治の構造を従来の単線的な構図から脱却し、多層的、組織的な新しい構図を提示することを目指した。これには、まず、地方統治に関わる様々な人びとの存在、役割、関係性を明らかにする必要があると考えた。このため、本研究では、灌漑、収税、流通までの一連の過程を研究主題とした。徴税(本研究では「徴税」を、農地の灌漑・播種・耕作の管理から収穫、収税、農作物の売買や都市への運搬という流通までを含めて用いる)は毎年必ず行われる、いわば確立された行為や秩序であり、村落社会を規定する統治の柱として捉えることができる。また、収税システムとしてのイクター制の機能を分析することは、イスラーム史におけるイクター制の歴史的位置を明らかにすることにつながると考えた。本研究は徴税を通じたエジプトの村落社会と地方統治の構造を対象とするが、その際にはその根本となる農業や灌概といった自然環境についても検討していく必要がある。そのためには、エジプト各地域の地理的差異を等閑視することはできない。そこで比較的史料が豊富であるファイユーム県に対象をしぼり考察を進めた。初年度は、2度(計2ヶ月間)にわたるエジプト国立文書館(カイロ)における史料蒐集を行い、16世紀前半に編纂されたファイユーム県の『土地調査台帳』、『灌漑堤防台帳』、『水分配台帳』などの各種台帳からの記録の抽出を行った。これらの記録から、地方統治において村落社会が果たす役割は大きく、支配者と村落社会による相互補完的な統治体制を見いだすことができ、従来の単線的かつ一方的な地方統治の構造を修正する展望が開けた。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between people and service in the process of real estate, irrigation, taxation and agricultural product circulation, and to clarify the structure of village social local governance from the second half of the 15th century to the 16th century. This study is aimed at suggesting the structure of local governance from a single line to a new, multi-layered and organized structure. This is the first time I've ever seen a woman. This study focuses on the continuous process of irrigation, taxation and circulation. The characteristic tax (this study includes "characteristic tax", irrigation, sowing, cultivation management, harvest, collection tax, crop purchase, urban transportation and circulation) must be implemented every year, and the behavior and order must be established. The governance pillar of village society must be established. The function of the system is analyzed and the position of the system history is clarified This study focuses on the structural aspects of village society and local governance, including the fundamental aspects of agriculture and natural environment. The geographical differences between different regions are obvious. The historical materials of this comparison are rich and rich. In the first half of the 16th century, the records of land survey accounts, irrigation and embankment accounts and water distribution accounts were compiled and extracted. The development of a mutually complementary system of governance between local governance and village society is expected to open up prospects for the revision of the structure of local governance.
