(1) A new Parameciuim species was found from water samples collected from Shanghai, China, and the species was named as Paramecium schewiakoffi (in press)(2) For the first time, we collected P. decaurelia and P. dodecaurelia in Japan (Pryzybos et al., Folia boil., 51, 223-224, 2003)(3) A new Holospora species was found in the macronucleus of P.bursaria collected in Morioka city, and the bacterium was named as Holospora hiwatashii (in preparation)(4) N.obtusa bearing P.caudatum was collected in Yamaguchi city.
