英文摘要
In the processes of planning and concept design of a product, a system to construct a 3-D solid model easily and rapidly and to support creative activities for style design is extremely desired. For the demand, the objective of this study was to develop a system to support style design based on sensibility (KANSEI) features and to evaluate it according to form information. This study was performed in the past two years (2000 and 2001) and obtained the following results:(1) Development of a system to easily and rapidly construct a 3-D digital modelA system to easily and rapidly construct a 3-D digital model from a sketch, a virtual clay model, a rough real model, and a profile has been developed.(2) Development of a system to make a model form more beautiful based on sensibility (KANSEI) featuresA system to analyze the style form of a product, to extract form features such as the whole form, the part forms, the characteristic lines, and the high light lines, and to modify the form according to the extracted features has been developed.(3) Development of a system to evaluate style design according to form informationA form basic amount as microscopic form information and a form statistical amount as macroscopic form were proposed to technologically evaluate the style form. And a system to evaluate a style form according to the proposed amounts has been developed.(4) Integration of developed systems and evaluationAn intended system has been developed by integrating the above three systems and the evaluation experiments of the system have been performed. The results obtained in this study were summarized.
