项目摘要

1.知的障害者の地域生活を支える新しいしくみとして、「中間施設」という概念を掲げ、鍛えた。概念を吟味する方法として、第一に、4回にわたる研究会を開催し、「中間施設」を必要としている実態の整理、その内包の検討等を行った。第二に、知的障害者に関わる「中間施設」のみならず、身体障害者、女性、外国人等、他の領域の「中間施設」的なものを参照した。2007年2月2日〜3日に「知的障害者の地域生活を支える中間施設の意義と方法に関する国際比較研究集会」を開催し、こうした広がりを持つ概念としての「中間施設」を検討した。2.国内外の研究ネットワークの形成及び国内外の事例収集に尽力した。第一に、イギリスの研究会で日本の現状を報告する機会を得たことで、イギリスの研究者集団との協力関係がいっそう緊密となった。彼らの一人が上記研究集会に出席した。第二に、韓国の福祉館を事例として取り上げ、東アジアでの共同研究の礎をつくった。韓国からも上記研究集会への出席を得た。第三に、カナダやフランスにおける地域社会における課題解決のための「中間施設」的な取り組みを調査した。第四に、持続可能な社会形成のための教育への概念的広がりを求めて、ユネスコの集会に出席し日本の現状を報告するとともに、世界の動きについての認識を得た。第五に、仙台、西東京、愛知、大阪など、国内における同様の研究的・実践的関心をもつ人たちや団体とのネットワーク形成に努力した。
