项目摘要

本研究は、高度情報化にともなう視聴覚メディアの発展が既存の大衆文化に及ぼす影響に焦点をあてて、その実態について実証的研究を行うとともに、社会問題化している情報社会における教育・文化状況に対して有効な提言を生み出すことを目的としている。毎月、報告者を決めて研究会を催し、また関係者を招いてヒアリングを行い光ディスク、高画質テレビシステム、ISDN、マルチメディアなどエレクトロニクス技術と高度通信技術の発展と視聴覚文化産業(音楽産業、映画産業、興行娯楽産業など)の変容を調査した。特に、視聴覚メディアが我が国の有力な輸出品であり、アジア太平洋圏において「カラオケ文化圏」が成立するほど国際的な注目を浴びつつある分野であることからも、アジア地域のカラオケ受容と産業的展開については重点的にヒアリングを行った。その成果として今年度は佐藤毅編『現代のエスプリ』(情報化と大衆文化;ビデオゲームとカラオケ)No.312(平成5年7月1日発行)に分担者・報告者六名が各々論文を発表した。また、若者の情報機器接触と利用実態の調査について分担者立木が、学校教育との関係では分担者黒田が、<ダイヤルQ^2>の利用実態を中心にした調査は協力者富田が、青少年とメディアの「有害環境」問題については協力者永井が別紙記載の成果を挙げた。今年度より特に高齢化社会と情報化の役割について宝塚市と共同で、宝塚市「シルバーネット」を具体的に取り上げて調査をすすめた。現在、映像メディアと高齢者の接触状況と歴史的展開を明らかにするために、高齢者を対象とした質問紙法調査の内容を検討中である。以上の研究の中間総括はシンポジウムなどで報告する予定であり、次年度に予定している総括報告書作成の準備作業を行っている。
