英文摘要
The results of this study consist of the following seven sections.(1)The minimal reading unit that differentiates average from advanced students of English as a second language(2)Comparison of spectrographic records of two syllables pronounced from scripts in hiragana and romaji by students with different familiarity with English(3)Oral reading performance in a Japanese dyslexic boy(4)Approximative patterns of L2 consonant duration learning : The case of English and Japanese(5)Why is pronunciation of irregular words preserved in dementia and why does it correlate highly with premorbid intelligence?(6)Repetition latency and duration as new indices of second language ability(7)Is Japanese and English nonword repetition performance associated with English language ability? The first section is now under review. The second one has appeared in Perceptual and Motor Skills. The seventh section (in Japanese) is to appear in CASELE (Chugoku Academic Society of English Language Education) Research Bulletin. The remaining sections are to be submitted to English journals.
