The structure of mental syllables in English and Japanese, and word processing in English

这项研究的结果包括以下七个部分：(1)区分英语作为第二语言的高级学生和普通学生的最小阅读单位；(2)不同熟悉程度的学生对平假名和罗玛吉语两个音节发音的光谱记录的比较；(3)一个日语阅读障碍男孩的口语阅读表现；(4)第二语言辅音持续时间学习的近似模式：英语和日语的情况；(5)为什么在痴呆症中不规则单词的发音被保留，为什么它与病前智力高度相关？(6)重复潜伏期和持续时间作为第二语言能力的新指标(7)日语和英语的非单词复述成绩是否与英语语言能力有关？第一部分正在复习中。第二个出现在知觉和运动技能中。第七部分(日文)是出现在CASELE(中部地区英语教育学术学会)研究简报。剩下的部分将提交给英文期刊。

The results of this study consist of the following seven sections.(1)The minimal reading unit that differentiates average from advanced students of English as a second language(2)Comparison of spectrographic records of two syllables pronounced from scripts in hiragana and romaji by students with different familiarity with English(3)Oral reading performance in a Japanese dyslexic boy(4)Approximative patterns of L2 consonant duration learning : The case of English and Japanese(5)Why is pronunciation of irregular words preserved in dementia and why does it correlate highly with premorbid intelligence?(6)Repetition latency and duration as new indices of second language ability(7)Is Japanese and English nonword repetition performance associated with English language ability?The first section is now under review. The second one has appeared in Perceptual and Motor Skills. The seventh section (in Japanese) is to appear in CASELE (Chugoku Academic Society of English Language Education) Research Bulletin. The remaining sections are to be submitted to English journals.
