The purpose of this research was to clarify the anxiety which parents of children with slight developmental disorders feel. Also, the idea was to begin creating a support system so that parents can develop appropriate child care attitudes. After this research was approved by the Tottori University Ethics Committee, we selected mothers of children with developmental disorders who had consulted doctors at the Child Neurology Department at Tottori University. Some of the mothers consented to participating in this research so we interviewed 10 of them. It was found that mothers were affected by the following items as a result of the interview :1.No one understands my child or his/her disorder ;2.Many people heap prejudice on children with disorders. In this way, it was made clear that these mothers were aware of a sense of isolation in the family, at school and in the neighborhood. They want to have people understand their children correctly. So, they need people who can help and who can be consulted in a trustworthy way. They also hoped that their children could get appropriate education and to become able to adapt to society. Finally, it was found that what they were anxious about were exactly the same things which the support system lacks. We think that it is necessary to review the way of support by a child's age and the type of disorder in the future.
