With services such as the long-established Open Access Publication Fund, FAU has extensive experience in the area of centered management and funding of OA publications. The application is intended to supplement or optimize the following aspects:(1) Simple and centralized funding options for OA book publications or book processing charges - currently these are generally funded via FAU's foundations and sponsors, with very heterogeneous application procedures - and, in line with FAU´s Open Science orientation, also for research data publications, e.g. via RADAR.(2) The sustainable development and co-design of Open Access transformation models.(3) The efficient acquisition of funding and centralized administration and monitoring possibilities; in this context, also process optimizations and the development of synergies in the cooperation within the university.
