1対馬宗氏の朝鮮外交交渉、貿易取引等に関する史料の収集を行った。対馬歴史民族資料館において宗家史料の写真撮影を行い、さらに幕府の対馬藩朝鮮外交の監査と実務担当の立場で、京都五山から派遣された以酊庵輪番僧の記録の一部として、健仁寺両足院所蔵文書のマイクロフィルム化を行った。これは、(1)朝鮮信使来聘に関する事前準備、先例調査、外交上の契約、経費の積算等に関する記録、(2)対馬から朝鮮への送使船往環記録、封進物記録、(3)「遣朝鮮国歳条書契」等の公式文書、「朝鮮往復書翰留」「先行出訴願書」等の交渉記録、(4)「以酊庵御役筋」「以酊庵輪住勤行簿」「対州卸在番中日記」等の勤務記録等である。輪番僧は、直接外交折衡を行う立場にはなく、朝鮮側との交渉は、釜山倭館の東向寺に派遣された対馬府中の臨済宗系寺庵の僧が「館守」や特命の交渉責任者「裁判」を補佐し文書の立案・審査を行い、「両国往復書騰」に収録される。これら両記録の照合を必要とした。2対馬藩が朝鮮から輸入した人参は、対馬国売りのほか博多・長崎・大阪・京都・江戸等で販売され、特に江戸に人参座を設けて販売の適正化を図る。対馬藩の要望により、幕府は補助金を与え、また、人参代往古銀を鋳造して輸出銀の品質を維持した。対馬藩は、輸入生糸、絹織物を直接大阪まで廻航し、京都藩邸から朝鮮問屋に卸し、西陣の分糸・巻物仲買に提供する。仲買は、糸代先納銀を対馬側に前渡し、相互の利益を図る。これは、中国・オランダ船の長崎輸入の生糸等の京都仲買も兼ね、さらに琉球-薩摩藩から廻船によって京の定問屋に直送の生糸等も取引し、ここに三ルート商品の統合をみる。その他唐物は、長崎会所から大阪幕府荷受問屋に、琉球-薩摩藩領内商人扱いの物資も大阪問屋に移送される。対馬大阪藩邸では、これらの問屋から朝鮮輸出用唐物を購入して対馬に送る。以上、当初の予算項目別配分類について史料収集方法上の理由から、若干の調整を行っている。
