1.対馬歴史民俗資料館において、宗家文庫の以酊庵輪番僧の関係史料を中心に収集し、前年に収集した京都五山建仁寺両足院所蔵の以酊庵関係文書との比較研究を行った。これらの文書は、以酊庵輪住勤行簿・以酊庵御役筋之事・以酊庵輪番記・驢山滞在日記等の内部史料、信使来聘記録、対州信使接待新定事例伺書等の朝鮮信使関係、遣禮曹告譯使渡海書・対韓文書、朝鮮来書抜粋・訳官記録等の交渉記録、日韓書契分類、遣朝鮮国歳条書契・朝鮮国歳条回翰等の外交文書、その他封進目録等の交易記録からなっている。実務的には、釜山倭館に駐在した対馬藩派遣の裁判(外交官)及び特命の裁判による信使送迎、輸入米・賜品等に関する交渉と、これらを補佐する倭館内東向寺の僧による朝鮮側との調整が行われ、以酊庵輪僧は、倭館で勘案・審査された外交文書を監査する立場にあった。すなわち外交は、幕府任命の対州修文職(以酊庵輪番僧)によって統制された。2.対馬藩の貿易は、伝統的に管理貿易的性格が強く、品質の高い特鋳銀が貿易決済の中心をなしている。このために、京都の対馬藩邸で、生糸・絹織物の京都仲買問屋から糸代先納銀を得て、京都の銀座から特鋳銀を交換・調達し、釜山に直送した。銀輸出停止後は、同様に、大坂の対馬藩邸で銅問屋から独占的に銅を入手して直送した。官営貿易である封進の輸出用物産の蘇木・胡椒等は、あらかじめ長崎会所で「除き物」として処理され、それを対馬藩長崎屋敷で調達している。これらの貿易体制は、そのもの自体が藩の管理体制下に置かれ、釜山倭館内においても商人身分の代官は、私貿易の監督や決済銀の管理等を行うなど、実務的にこの体制の中で官民の地位を共存して内外の流通に関与したものである。
