项目摘要

1歳3か月から4歳までの一人の乳児の食事の発達を縦断的に観察した。観察は対象児の家庭の一ヵ月で一回の食事をビデオで記録する方法で行った。食事場面に観察できる発達の全体を記述することを試みた。記述したのは、両親と乳児の距離、両親の発話、両親による乳児の食事の手による指示、食事時にテレビがついているか否か、食材、乳児の両手の動き、乳児の発話、乳児による道具の使用、乳児の手のmicro-exploration、乳児の手のポ-ズなどであった。結果として、発達の初期においては両親の手が乳児の食事をガイドしている。つまり食材の転換が両親によってなされているが、3歳後半から、食材の転換が乳児の手のmicro-explorationや乳児の手のポ-ズによって行われる。この時期あたりから、乳児自身の行為による先端で、食材の独特な系列化の仕方が発生することが明らかになった。具体的には乳児は3歳後半に、「ご飯」と「おかず」を交互に食べるリズムを獲得することが明らかになった。両手の協調については(1)主たる手を支持する手が空中で停滞することが、主たる手をフォローするように変化する、(2)動きが同期しはじめると同時に、それぞれが独自に動きはじめる。(3)主たる手を支持する手が主たる手の動きを先取りすることがある、などのことが発見された。
