项目摘要

この研究は、日本企業の特性を事業分野の多角化・国際化(多国籍企業化)・ソフト化(イノベーション)の観点から明らかにした上で、それぞれの特性を規定する要因および相互の関連性を分析することを目的としている。平成9年度における研究テーマは、(a)企業間関係と技術知識フローに関する分析、(b)企業間関係と投資金融フローに関する分析、(c)企業の多角化に関する分析である。(a)企業間関係と技術知識フローに関する分析では、研究開発と企業間関係に注目し、資本関係を有する企業の間での技術フローの存在とその結果が研究開発活動にどのような影響を有するかを、平成4年・平成7年の2時点での日本の電気機械産業1889社のミクロデータをもとに実証分析を試みた。この結果、親企業からの技術情報のフローをうける企業は自社の研究開発費の支出が減少し、子会社へ技術情報を流出する企業は自社の研究開発費の支出を増加させていること、また、研究開発費に対して与える影響の程度は、親企業からの技術情報のフローを受ける企業の研究開発費比率は0.4%の低下・子会社への技術情報の流出をともなう企業の研究開発費比率は0.5%の上昇となり、平均的な研究開発費の比率(約1%)の約2分の1に達していることなどから、企業間の技術知識フローは決して少ないものではないことが示される。また(b)企業間関係と投資金融フローに関する分析では、資本取引と財の取引との相互関係に注目した子会社の投資行動に関する研究、(c)企業の多角化に関する分析では、企業の多角化を促進する誘因の解明に向けた研究を行っている。
