项目摘要

今年度は、昨年度の成果をもとに、日本にオランダ船が持ち渡った輸入品の内、将軍をはじめとする幕府高官、長崎地役人等によって、オランダ船に注文されたものの持ち渡り品である「誂物」に焦点を絞り、その輸入の実態(品目名・種類・数量・原産地等)を19世紀前半の事例を通して解明するための基礎作業を継続的におこなった。具体的には、寛政6年(1794)から文政10年(1827)までと、天保15年(1844)から弘化4年(1847)までのオランダ側史料(「送り状」等)とその翻訳である日本側史料(「積荷目録」等)を収集・照合し、オランダ船の「誂物」に関する彼我の用語を確定し、如何なる誂物が当時、日本に入ってきていたかを究明した。この内、史料の残存例が良好である享和3年(1803)・文化10年(1813)・文化11年(1814)・文化14年(1817)・文政2年(1819)・文政3年(1820)・文政5年(1822)・文政7年(1824)・文政8年(1825)・文政10年(1827)の誂物に関する日蘭の各品目名・数量については、「江戸時代のオランダ船『誂物』輸入に関する基礎的研究-19世紀前半を事例として-」と題して発表した。(なお、文政11年(1828)から天保13年(1842)までの誂物については、すでに「誂物の基礎的研究」『鶴見大学紀要』第34号、平成9年に報告している。)また、長崎市立博物館所蔵(現、長崎歴史文化博物館所蔵)「御内用方諸書留」をオランダ側史料と照合しながら、日本市場にもたらされた個々の誂物が日本国内において如何なる流通をみたか、蘭人・長崎地役人・幕府高官の動きに注目し、分析をおこなった。
