In this project, we aimed to establish new therapeutic strategies for treatment of cancer, utilizing basic knowledge on cancer. We have shown the clinical efficacy of a defucosylated humanized anti-CCR4 antibody in patients with adult T-cell leukemia-lymphoma, effectiveness of TGF-beta receptor inhibitor on glioma-initiating cells, and potential use of FGF receptor monoclonal antibody to hepatocellular carcinoma.
