本年度は、郷試と会試のそれぞれ第二場で出題された「論」題と第三場で出題された「経史策」題、さらには最終段階の殿試で出題された「制策」題の受験対策のためにどのような受験勉強が必要となって、それに伴ってどのような書物が出版され、利用されたのかという点について考察した。「論」、「策」の学習には、『性理大全』をはじめとする「性理学」の著作、『通鑑』類の歴史書や三蘇の「文集」をはじめとする「古文」が多く読まれたことから、これらの関連の書物を中心に前年度と同様、『千頃堂書目』、『明史』「藝文志」、『四庫全書総目提要』、『経義考』、杜信孚編著『全明分省分県刻書考』等の記述を手がかりにして、特色のありそうな書物を抽出し、『四庫全書存目叢書』『続修四庫全書』等所収のものを中心に調査を行うとともに、内閣文庫その他の機関に蔵される関連書籍の調査も行ってきた。さらに、上記の研究に加えて、前年度の課題との関連で、尊経閣文庫所蔵の「制義」類の総集についても調査を行ってきた。これの研究は現在も継続中である。なお、今年度は上記研究の遂行と同時に、「明代の科挙制度と出版」という観点を基礎に据えた上で、調整班の課題である「出版政策」の問題に関連する研究も行った。具体的には、明代の科挙制度に関連して出版された官撰の書物の中心をなす「登科録」についての研究である。現存のもので閲覧が可能な「登科録」を広く調査し、その内容的な特色を明らかにした上で、出版に際して明朝政府がいかなる関与を行ったのかという問題について考察を行った。研究論文については、下記参照。また研究発表として、「明代における「試録」の「程文」をめぐる問題について」(特定領域研究(「東アジア出版文化の研究」)(B)(E)班合同研究会2004年10月31日於キャンパスプラザ京都)がある。
