Systematization of fieldwork methodology: A study on capture, management, analysis and circulation of geographical data

田野调查虽然在各个学科中得到了广泛的应用，但对田野调查的方法和技术还没有系统的论述。在这种情况下，试图建立和推广实地工作方法，包括地理空间数据的收集、分析和可视化以及成果的传播。我们开展了1)实时数据采集的有效利用和2)利用地理信息系统技术应用地理空间数据库的研究。最后，我们讨论了野外科学作为一种学术领域，它是传统野外工作方法论和空间信息科学的融合。这项研究的结果已在以下网站上公布：http://giswin.geo.tsukuba.ac.jp/sis/project/fieldgis/home_e.htm.

Though fieldwork has been widely used in various academic disciplines, the methods and techniques are not systematically discussed. In this condition, attempts were made to construct and generalize the fieldwork methodologies including collections, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data and circulation of the outcomes. We conducted the studies on 1) effective use of real-time data collection and 2) application of geospatial database using GIS techniques. Finally we discussed on the field science as an academic field which is the fusion of traditional methodology of fieldwork and spatial information science.
