项目摘要

近年のPCの急激な普及に伴って、X Window SystemはPC上で利用される機会が増加している.当研究の成果であるMuiltilingualSystemは、X Window Systemをターゲットとして、Solaris上で開発・動作確認等を行ってきたが、当Systemを多くの方に試用していただくためには、Work Stationで主に利用されているSolaris上での動作だけでなく、LinuxやFreeBSDのようなPC-UNIXで動作可能とすることが重要であると考えられる.今年度は、今までに開発されたMultilingual SystemをPC-UNIX上でも利用可能とするために移植作業を中心に開発を進めた.PC-UNIXのうち最も普及している、LinuxとFreeBSDを移植ターゲットとして選択した.コンパイラ等のツール群は、GNUプロジェクト等により既に安定したものが開発されており、Solaris上で開発したプログラムソースとの互換性が非常に高い.したがって、移植に際しては、OSに依存したパラメータやライブラリの相違に合わせることが主な作業となった.プログラムソース中のsolarisに依存した部分を修正し、コンパイル時にパラメータを定義してOSごとに必要な情報を選択するよう変更した.多くの人に試用してもらうためには、単に動作確認だけではなく、容易に試用できるような環境を提供することが必要である.特に初心者に対して、上述の定義等は複雑であるため、configurationを自動的に行い、導入を補助するinstallerの作成を、GNUプロジェクトのautoconfを利用し作成し、以下の条件で動作確認を行った。・solaris 2.5.1+Sun CC4.0・Linux 2.0.33+gcc 2.8.1・FreeBSD 2.2.8+gcc 2.8.1これにより、so1aris・Linux・FreeBSD上で、Multilingual Systemが使用可能となった.当Systemはライブラリ形式で実装されているため、このライブラリを用いて国際化アプリケーションの開発が可能となっている.また、原資料の発掘に関して新しい成果があった.フフバートル氏の業績により、中国刊行モンゴル文定期刊行物の概要をはじめて知ることができるようになり、今後これに基いて、より完全なリストを作成する段階に入ったといえる.
