项目摘要

本年度は、6月18日・19日開催の日本言語学会第164回大会の公開シンポジウム『言語脳科学が切り開く言語学の未来』において、「理論言語学者が見た言語脳科学」と題した発表を行い、文の概念を研究する上で欠かせない理論言語学における脳科学との学際的視点について議論した。また、8月20日開催の第120回九州大学言語学研究会において、「言語脳科学における『良質な成果』とは何かー理論言語学者の視点からー」と題する発表を行い、言語学と脳科学の共同研究に関するより発展的な議論を行った。さらに、2019年に私が共著した論文(Tanaka et al. 2019. Frontiers in Psychology)を発展させ、fMRIを用いた脳画像イメージングによってヒトが扱える統辞構造にどのような制限があるのかを明らかにする実験的研究を行い、現在レビューを受けている。また、より基礎論的な研究も併せて進めている。統辞論においては、Chomsky (1955)などの基礎論的文献を批判検討することで、統辞論の還元主義的・分析的システム構成には大きく改善する余地があることを見出した。また、Sheehan et al. (2017, MIT Press)をはじめとする言語普遍性に関する文献の読解を通じて、システム構成の改善において説明すべき重要な普遍性を抑えることに努めた。また、Maturana and Varela (1980,1987)をはじめとするシステム論関係の文献や、生物学・認知科学関連の文献を渉猟することで、学際的視点に基づく文概念の研究を進めている。

This year, the 164th meeting of the Japanese Language Society was held on June 18 and 19. The topic of "Speech Science and the Future of Speech Science" was discussed in the open forum.
