昭和60年度を2年次・最終年度とする本研究は下記の通り進行した。1.福島県郡山市における昭和53年指定時(最新指定)の用途地域・地区指定図から、同じ用途地域にのみ指定されている町丁・小字(以下、「地区」と呼ぶ)を抽出した(466地区中298地区,63.9%)。2.298地区について昭和35年,40年,45年,50年,55年の国調年次の人口動態,公民各種開発行為等を時系列に分析し、特に住居系用途指定(3種)地区に関しては、市街化過程でおこる種々の現象を1:2500図上で把えた(基盤整備型,団地開発型,区画整理型,開発許可多発型,道路位置指定多発型,混合型等々)。3.用途地域制が都市化に及ぼす効果(指定の整合性,問題点)を類推できる因子(例:用途指定の変せん,人口密度,幹線道路,大規模施設等)を電算処理化するための作表を行う過程で、入手不能と断念していた地目別土地利用面積(昭和50年,60年)と登記建物面積(昭和50年,55年,60年)のデータが入手できたが個票であるためまとめに時間をとり、当研究の成果発表は9月下旬の予定である。4.一方、東京区部の住工混在地域を対象として、混在地域の状況を物理的現況,その変容状況と混在地域に関わる各主体の行動論理を検討することにより、都市計画的対応に関する基礎的情報を抽出し、解明した事態をもとに混在地域の機能論を構築した。すなわち住工混在地域が多様な機能・主体・建築物から構成され、そこに常に一定の変化動向が存在する事を、生産系のネットワークと生活系のネットワークの重層構造の中で保障することである。5.また、用途純化の思想を混在地域の機能を喪失させるものとして否定し、小零細規模工場の簇生と住宅進入は、正の評価を行い全体としての地域の機能を円滑に更新させるために活発な動向を誘導して実現する方向こそが住工混在地域の整備上最も必要な事である。
