A Comprehensive Study on the Philosophical Analysis of the Basic Categories of Bioethics and its Socio-Cultural Backgrounds.

我们研究的第一个主题是向日本介绍当今最重要的争论点。这一目标几乎达到了；我们编辑了两本书--最新的《关于生物伦理的信息》(由千叶大学文理学院综合课程委员会出版，1988年)和《生物伦理的基础》(由东海大学出版社，1988年出版)。2第二本是从两个角度审视每一个问题：技术与人的关系，特别是从使技术人性化和揭示其社会文化背景的角度。我们讨论了脑死亡、器官移植和知情同意等主题。每个研究人员都要在自己的论文中发表自己的意见。3.第三是尝试准备生物伦理学的数据库。我们编辑了一本书，里面有作者的名字、标题和摘要，大约有500页。但这只是第一步。第四步是发展教育项目。我们现在正在准备一个新的节目来迎接今天的日本。

1 The first subject of our research is to introduce to Japan the most important present-day points at issue. The goal was almost attained; we editted two books - The Newest Informations on Bioethics (published by Comprehensive Course Com-mittee,College of Arts and Sciences,Chiba University,1988) and The Bases of bioethics (published by Tokai University Press,1988).2 The second is to examine each point at issue from two points of view; rela-tions between technology and men especially from the perspective of humanizing technology and throwing light on its socio-cultural backgrounds. We discussed such themes as brain death, organ transplantation and informed consent. Each investigator is to publish his opinions in his own papers.3 The third is to attempt to prepare data base on bioethics. We editted a book containing the names of authors,title and abstracts, which has about 500 pages. But it is only the first step.4 The fourth is to develop an educational program. We are now preparing a new program to meet present-day Japan.
