小児糖尿病患者の思春期, 青年期における社会適応上の問題を検討するために, これまでの北陸小児糖尿病サマーキャンプ参加者の内, 義務教育終了者を対象に, 郵送および面接により進学, 就職, 結婚状況等社会人としての自立状況を調査した. 北陸小児糖尿病サマーキャンプで継続観察中の患者は99人であり, その内義務教育終了者は57人(57.6%)である. 57人の特性は男21人(36.8%)女36人(63.2%)であり, 高校生20人(35.1%)大学・専門学校生9人(15.8%)社会人28人(49.7%)である.進学状況は高等学校57人中53人(92.9%), 高校卒業者の内, 短大・大学等へ進学した者15人(28.3%)で, 一般人と変らない進学率である. 就職状況は社会人28人の内24(85.7%)が就職しており, 職種別にみると店員6人(25.0%), 工員6人(25.0%), 事務員4人(16.7%)検査技師3人(12.5%)プログラマー, 生活指導員, 中学教員, 和裁講師, 看護助手各1人である. また就業している24人の内正職員として採用されている者は12人(50.0%)であり他の者は臨時雇いである. 未就業者4人の内2人は家事手伝いであり, 1人は視力喪失による入院中, 1人は生活破綻によるシンナー中毒者である. 結婚している者は男1人, 女6人の7人であり, 結婚動機は見合い2人, 恋愛5人である. 子供を有する者は男の検査技師1人である.対象者の発病時期を自己意識の確立する思春期(10才〜15才)に発病した者27人(47.4%)と, それ以前に発病した者30人(52.6%)に分けて上記内容をみると, 進学, 就職状況においては大差なかったが, 既婚者はいずれも思春期発病の者である. また合併症の出現している者は28人中12人(42.0%)であり視力障害による身体障害者手帳の交付を受けている者は2人で, 思春期以前に発病した者である. 以上若干の問題はあるが現在のところ, 小児糖尿病患者の社会的自立はほぼ良好といえる.

During puberty and adolescence, patients with diabetes mellitus are in need of social health problems, and those who have received compulsory education have received compulsory education in the participants of the social health care program in the north of the country. send mail to meet students to attend school, marriage, marriage status and other social conditions. In 24 (85.7%) of 28 social staff, 6 employees (25.0%), 6 staff members (25.0%), 4 staff members (16.7%), 3 technicians (12.5%), life instructors, middle school teachers, and layoffs, one each. Among the 24 employees, 12 (50.0%) of the 24 employees hired to hire an employee on a regular basis. Among the 4 people, 2 had no family chores, 1 was admitted to the hospital, and 1 was suffering from a drug poisoning. There were 1 man, 6 women, 7 girls, 2 couples and 5 lovers. During the period of illness, 27 patients (47.4%) were diagnosed with mental illness (10 ~ 15 years old), and 30 patients (52.6%) were diagnosed with previous illness, and then went to school. In terms of job status, those who became ill, those who were married, those who became sick, and those who were married. 12 of the 28 patients (42.0%) were diagnosed with SARS, and the hands of the physically handicapped were delivered to 2 of the patients before the spring period. Some of the above problems are now in trouble, and people with diabetes are in good condition of social self-reliance.
