项目摘要

前年度の三宅島阿古地区の調査に続いて、平成元年7月に長野県王滝村における昭和59年の地震の被災世帯の一斉調査を実施した。これは昭和59年に松岡英子が実施した第一次調査の反復という側面を有すると同時に、三宅島調査と極力項目を重ね合わせることによって、両地域の比較が可能となるように工夫されたものである。その結果、第一次調査を完了した264世帯のうち、227世帯について面接と留置きの双方からなる調査票が回収され、第一次調査の結果と接合した長期反復調査のデ-タセットを作成することができた。三宅島との比較でみると、王滝村の地震災害では、村外者を含め20数名の死亡者がでたことが大きな違いである。これは復元不能な損傷を当該家族に与える打撃であった。こうした世帯について事例的な分析を実施中であるが、危機の深刻化およびそこからの回復過程については、家族によって大きな開きのあることが分かる。災害による家族員の喪失にとどまらず、その後にも困難な課題が累積されたケ-スで回復の遅れと不適応がみられ、他方、結婚による息子の妻の加入、それに続く孫の誕生といったプラスの変化を経た家族では急速な再適応が認められる。また住宅については、三宅島のような大量埋設ではなかったので、住宅再建、移転、借金返済、コミュニティの再編といった困難は最小限に押えられた。しかし、応急修理で居住継続した世帯も多いため、住生活の質は低下したまま残り、問題が先送りされた面もある。三宅島についても若干の補充聞きとり等を実施して、報告書をとりまとめるべく、目下両地区のデ-タの解析を続行中である。
