项目摘要

当研究の目的はルネサンス美術から二十世紀にいたるまでの楽園を描いた絵画、あるいは楽園のイメ-ジを応用した絵画の系譜を図像学的方法で検討することであった。そのためには、楽園と関連する図像を決定することが必要である。その一部として、本年は古代神話をテ-マとした古代彫刻の発見とそれに伴う古代的身振りの研究をおこない、「手の平を返すポ-ズと美術-楽園思想の研究(一)-(大阪府立大学『人文学論集』第8集)を発表した。本論文では、天国や神話的理想郷における絵画において手の平を返すポ-ズが十五世紀に突如現れる経過と、その頻出理由を報告した。この論文では楽園の図像に関する定義はできなかったが、楽園図像と密接に関連する特定のポ-ズの意義を検討した。というのはこの身振りはエデンの園の図像やパルナッソスの図像、アルカディアの図像の中に必ず繰り込められていくからである。さらに十八十九世紀には典拠の不可解な楽園のイメ-ジが形成されて古典的伝統が復活するが、やはりここにもこの手の平を返すポ-ズは伝承されていく。研究成果に関する今後発表の予定の論文は以下の内容である。論文「近代美術における楽園の図像とポ-ズ」では、楽園のイメ-ジがどのように分類できるか、さらにそれらのイメ-ジではどのような図像が不可欠の要素として伝承されるかを検討する。論文「システィ-ナ礼拝堂と署名の間における楽園のイメ-ジと思想」では、ミケランジェロとラッファエッロとが黄金時代のイメ-ジをどのように展開し、アカデミ-にどのような影響を及ぼしたを検討する。論文「黒田清輝における楽園の思想」では、プッサン、アングル、シャヴァンヌの系譜における楽園のイメ-ジが日本の黒田清輝や青木繁に及ぼした影響、その楽園のイメ-ジと印象派や後期印象派の美術との関連、さらにそのイメ-ジが現代芸術において演じ、また今日も生きつづける役割の意義について検討する。
