项目摘要

多元環への群作用の分類とその不動点環の構造を調べる事を念頭に置きつつ、そのモデルケ-スとして、フォンノイマン環への群作用について詳細に研究を行った。また、これと平行して行なった部分環の包含関係に関する研究において得られた我々の研究結果との関連性も明らかにした。まず、有限群の群作用に対して定義されている共役不変量(V.Jonesによる)が、一般の局所コンパクト群に対してもその群の表現論を援用する事により、定義可能となる事を示した。更に、この共役不変量に対応して、超有限II型因子環Rへの群作用のモデルを、表現論における表現の拡大や誘導表現の理論のアナロジ-の観点から構成した。この構成を実行する中で、表現論においては、2次のコホモロジ-の元がその障害因子として顕れるという事実に対し、群作用に関しては、3次のコホモロジ-の元が同様の役割を演じている事が明らかとなり、この障害因子の解消に最も苦労した。以上の経過により、環Rへの有限型群作用(その不動点環の包含関係が有限型となる群作用)の共役類が、その共役不変量で完全に決定される事が導かれる。他方、そのような群作用に対し、その不動点環の指数、エントロピ-、そしてその両者を制御している事が判明したIndicial Derivative等の公式を、その完全共役不変量との関連で与える事に成功した。今後は、以上の結果の一般化と具体例への有効な応用を試みる計画を抱いている。
