For guiding anxiety levels of patients, they were classified with State-Trait Anxiety Inventry (STAI) into four groups; (1) normal patients group; N, (2) state anxiety group; S (3) trait anxiety group; T, (4) stato-trait anxiety group; ST.We checked changes in blood pressure (BP) and pulse rate (PR) of each groups, and observed effects at early stage of inhalation sedation on autonomic nervous system activity.RESULTS 1. Before treatment on the dental chair, values of BP were in order of ST>S>T>N,and of PR,T>S>ST>N. 2. Under inhalation sedation, values of BP were in order of S,T>ST>N,and of PR,ST>T>S>N. 3. The greatest changes in both BP and PR between before treatment and under inhalation sedation were observed at ST group, and them of other group were in order of S>T>N.

采用状态-特质焦虑量表将患者分为4组：(1)正常组；(2)状态焦虑组；(3)特质焦虑组；(4)特质焦虑组；(4)特质焦虑组；观察吸入镇静早期血压和脉率的变化，并观察对自主神经活动的影响。吸入性镇静时，BP值依次为S、T&GT；ST&GT；N，PR、ST&GT；T&GT；T&GT；S；N。
