成人型歯周炎患者63名の歯周ポケットから分離したB.gingivalis 126株と、同菌の標準菌株である381,hara 1,ATCC33277の合計129株を用いてB.gingivalisの血清学的性状について検討を行った。先ず、用いた菌株のうち、数株について、全菌体に対する家兎免疫血清を作成した。得られた抗血清と上記129株間で定量凝集反応や、菌株の超音波処理抽出抗原を用いてゲル内拡散法を行い、B.gingivalisの抗原分析を実施した。吸収試験を繰り返した結果、4種類の因子血清が得られ、B.gingivalisは血清学的に均一ではなく、少なくとも4種類の特異抗原の存在することが明らかになった。またこの特異抗原の存在は、免疫電気泳動法によっても確認された。以上の結果から、B.gingivalisは、それが有する特異抗原により、I〜IV型の4血清型に分類された。人口腔内でのB.gingivalisの血清型別分布について調べたところ、同一口腔内より分離される菌株は、1つの血清型に属する場合が多く、63名中I型菌のみ分離された者が22名(34.9%)、II型菌のみの者が7名(11.1%)、III型菌のみの者4名(6.3%)、IV型菌のみの者22名(34.9%)であった。また、同一口腔内から2つの血清型菌の分離された者が2名(3.2%)にみられた。血清型別が異なっても、血球凝集能や、その他の生化学的性状には差は認められなかった。しかし、B.gingivalisの病原因子として注目されているコラゲナーゼ活性やプロテアーゼ活性には血清型別間に違いが認められ、コラゲナーゼ活性はII型菌、プロテアーゼ活性はIV型菌に、特に強い活性が認められた。抗生物質の感受性は、血清型別間に、特に差は認められなかった。なお、今後B.gingivalisの血清型別を一そう明確にするために、同菌の特異抗原の分離、精製を実施するべく準備を進めている。

A total of 126 strains of B.gingivalis were isolated from 63 adult patients with periodontitis. A total of 129 strains of B. gingivalis were isolated from standard strains of 381,hara 1,ATCC33277. Antisera were collected from 129 strains, and antigens were extracted by ultrasonic treatment. Antigen analysis of B.gingivalis was carried out. The presence of these specific antigens was confirmed by immunoelectrophoresis. The above results show that B.gingivalis is classified into four serotypes: type I to IV and specific antigens. The serotype distribution of B.gingivalis in oral cavity was very different. Among 63 strains, 22 strains (34.9%) were isolated from type I, 7 strains (11.1%) from type II, 4 strains (6.3%) from type III and 22 strains (34.9%) from type IV. 2 serotypes were isolated from the same oral cavity (3.2%). Serotypes vary, hemagglutination activity varies, and other biochemical traits vary. The pathogenic factors of B.gingivalis are highly active among serotypes, and highly active among serotypes. Antibiotic susceptibility, serotype, and specificity In the future, B.gingivalis serotypes should be clarified, and specific antigens of the same bacteria should be isolated and purified.
