项目摘要

本研究の目的は、社会的ジレンマ状況での集団成員の手段的協力行動を説明するための構造的目標期待理論を発展・整備することにあった。本年度の研究では、この目標に向って2つの実験と2つのコンピュ-タ-・シミュレ-ションが行われた。これらの研究の具体的内容を説明する紙数がないので、ここでは明らかにされた主要な知見を要約するにとどめる。(1)これまでの研究では「自発的協力行動」として構造的目標期待理論の枠外で扱われてきた「戦略的行動」ーーつまり他者の行動に影響を与えることを目的とした協力・非協力行動ーーも、構造的目標期待理論の枠組みで分析することが可能である。本研究ではこの観点から戦略的行動を分析し、そのような行動が社会的ジレンマの解決を促進する場合のあることと、逆に事態を一層悪化させる場合のあることが明らかにされた。(2)これまでの研究では、社会的ジレンマが特定の2者間に継続的に存在する場合には、「応報戦略」などの特定の戦略を用いることにより自発的な協力関係が発生しやすいことが知られているが、本研究の結果、2者間にどのようなプロセスにより継続的関係が生まれるかにより、そこでの相互協力関係の成立程度が大きく影響されることが明らかにされた。またこの側面での本研究の成果は、「ネットワ-ク型囚人ジレンマ」研究へのアプロ-チを生み出した点にもある。(3)これまでの研究では、他者の行動に対する監視・統制は、「中央集権的」な統制制度の確立という観点からなされて来たが、本研究では中央集権的な統制制度の存在しない状況での、集団成員のお互いの間での自発的な相互監視・統制の発生が分析された。その結果、2次的ジレンマ解決にあたっての「怒り」の感情の重要性が示唆された。
