项目摘要

本研究は既に助成金の交付を受けた「語学的研究」、更に来年度引き続いて助成と申請している「文学的研究」を併せて、綜合的な『狐物語』の全体研究の一環をなすものである。なかんずく、本「文献学的研究」は過去百年以上も前になされた調査以来、本格的な研究が存在しなかったこともあり、それだけに方法論的問題も多く、やりにくいものであっただけに却って成果も大きかったと自負している。特に二度に亘る断片写本の発見は特筆すべきもので、幸運にもその一は我国に招来することが出来、広島大学図書館の所蔵するところとなっている。これはヨ-ロッパ以外の公立図書館に見られる唯一の『狐物語』写本として内外の注目を集めている。当該年度における実績としては主として次のような内容を挙げる事が出来る。1.所在が確認されている全古写本に関しては、一応の調査は全て完了している。(そのうちの約半数については実物調査を行なった。) 2.前記調査と平行して行方不明本及び未確認写本に就いても探索を行ない、その過程から前述のような思いがけない収獲を挙げる事が出来た。(但し、そのほとんどが現地図書館、古文書館等への調査協力依頼による間接調査に基づくものである。) 3.同じく前記調査の過程で得られた旧ブルゴ-ニュ侯家図書館所蔵の古写体の問題に関しては、国際学会を通じて国際間協力の要請を試み、その了承を得ている。 4.今までに得られた成果の大半は、既に国際学会、日本フランス語フランス文学会、大学紀要等を通じて文部省助成研究である旨付して発表している。
