研究のための基礎資料収集パリ国立図書館、アルスナル図書館(パリ)、トリノ王立図書館、ヴァチカン図書館、シャンティイー図書館、モーガン・ライブラリー(ニューヨーク)より『狐物語』の主要14写本全てのマイクロフィルムを購入した。更に業者に委託して、マイクロフィルムの画像をTIFF形式のファイルに電子化した。予定では、古い系統に属する6写本(ADEFGN)の初期枝篇(I, Ia, Ib, II-Va, III, IV, V)校訂を行うはずであったが,ここまでの作業に手間取ったため果たせなかった。来年度以降の課題とする。現時点での成果本課題をたちあげる契機となった2001年度秋期日本フランス語フランス文学会における口頭発表「『狐物語』初期枝篇におけるルナールとエルサンの恋への言及について-写本にみる物語受容の変遷」に手を加えて《Proliferation au cours de la tradition manuscrite des mentions de l'adultere dans les premieres branche du Roman de Renart》を執筆した。最も古い系統の写本において、初期枝篇のうち4作品では姦通は全く言及されていないが、そのうち2作品については、時代を下った写本にこれへの言及がみられるようになる。姦通は創作活動の中で物語の中心となっていったことにより、もともとは姦通と無関係であった作品もこれと結びつけて語られることになった。作品受容のあり方が物語りの姿そのものを変化させているのである。本論文は、2003年4月発行の同学会誌「フランス語フランス文学研究」第82号に掲載される。
