项目摘要

日本における工業化の経済主体として、国際的にも著名な日本財閥の形成過程を、三井・三菱・住友の三大財閥と、貝島・麻生等の地方財閥と比較史的に、実証的に、分析し歴史的特質を究明すべく、第一次史料の発掘・収集・整理・分析を本年度においても進めてきた。しかしながら、とりわけ発掘・収集に力を注いだ。その結果、本年度においては、三菱と貝島に関する大量の第一次史料の収集を行うことができた。しかしながら、これらはマイクロフィルムによる写真撮影であり、なおかつ現在も写真撮影を続行しているため、一方で、エンラ-ジ作業を進めることはきわめて困難な状況におかれている。さて、そのようななかで、本年度は、貝島の企業行動を知るうえできわめて貴重な、同家家憲に関する史料を一部整理し、その史料紹介を行うことができた。また、三菱の経営多角化の柱をなした炭礦業の研究をとりまとめることができ、現在印刷中である。しかしながら、三菱の本社部門と、貝島の決算史料は現在、エンラ-ジ作業の最中であるため、分析するには至っていないが、これらについてはできるだけはやく、研究発表に着手する予定である。なお、調査・撮影予定の史料はまだ大量に残されており、エンラ-ジ作業ともあわせて考えると、今後、数年以上の作業量が残っているが、史料の整理が進めば、順次成果を公表することとしたい。内容的には、第2次大戦期中の史料まで収集できているので、とりわけ決算関係文書を中心に収集できたので、三菱・貝島を主体とする財閥史の数量的分析が可能となったことは最大の成果と考えている。
