1993 we begun with prof reading "A list of Historical Studies on Water Utilization in China" made in 1992. We are very happy to tall you it will be published by UNESCO and Toyo Bunko sooner.Every member kept on working on further research and collecting data for one's theme since last year.We come together to report our works and disccused them to deepen our study of the Project. With help of useful discussion, each of us made research papers and they are collected as "A historical study on water utilization in China, The report of Research Project, Grant - In-Aid for scientific Research (Synthetic study A)".Our study comprehensively describes Chinese water utilization of former Qin through the present and large areas as North, Central, North West of China. The study consists of various sub-themes as River Improvement, Irrigation, Transportation by by Water, Water God, Water Utilization in Cities, Water Utilization and social economic structure.We are quite sure that our study contributes to further understanding on Chinese history.
