調査研究活動としては、東密・台密系の寺詩・聖教類の刊本を調査し、重要なものは購入した。また『仁和寺記録』等の未刊史料について調査を行った。また平安遺文・鎌倉遺文等から、寺院毎に寺官・坊官の人名を抽出する作業を進めると共に、東寺については、個々の寺官の系譜・履歴の復元作業を進めた。更に近世の法令集の中から、寺官・坊官に関係する規定を抽出した。現段階で明確になっている研究成果としては、仁和寺について坊官の手により『平出抄』なる往来物が作成されており、ここから当時の坊官の職掌が判明する事、法会の行事僧の記述などから坊官の活動が抽出できる事、また仁和寺に残る系図から、菩提院行遍などの著名な学僧を輩出しながら存続する坊官家のあり様を復元できた。また東寺については、南北朝〜室町期の寺官明済法眼について、播磨国矢野庄直務代官から東寺公文所を歴任し、その死後に「其遺跡抜群富俗」といわれ、一千貫文以上の未収貸金を残すに致った後半生を復元し、東寺の経済の中での寺官の重要な位置について明らかにできた。それ以外の寺官についても、南北朝期の公文所禅舜一族の活動や鎌倉期の寺官の活動の解明にも成果があった。研究成果の公表としては、口頭発表「『有徳人』明済法眼と東寺』-室町時代初頭における寺院経営の一断面-」を1994年1月20日に中世史研究会例会に行っている。

More than 1,000 Guan Wen of unpaid money remained in the second half of his life. Yang Kun's important position in the temple was restored. In addition, the activities of the Zen Shun clan in the Northern and Southern Dynasties and the activities of the temple officials in the Jiancang period were also discussed. The results of the research were presented publicly and orally,"A section of the temple administration at the beginning of the Muromachi era" was held on January 20, 1994 at the regular meeting of the Middle Ages History Research Association.
