戦後経済復興のメカニズムを経済安定本部を中心として立案・実施された経済政策に焦点をあてて検討するという研究目的にしたがって、資料の収集・整理を行った。第一に、東京大学経済学部が所蔵する経済安定本部資料マイクロフィルムのうち、経済復興計画、単一為替レートの設定、産業合理化政策、産業金融政策に関連する部分をプリントし、その中に含まれる必要なデータをパソコンに入力した。第二に、東京大学社会科学研究所が所蔵するGHQ/SCAP資料マイクロフィルムのうち産業政策に関連する部分について、カード化されてるリストをパソコンに入力してデータ・ベースとしての利用を可能にした。第三に1940年代後半〜50年代前半の経済雑誌(東洋経済新報、経済連合、日産協月報など)から産業政策関連部分を網羅的に選択してコピーして、製本した。第四に資料発掘に努め、新たに発見された資料についてはマイクロフィルムに撮影した。以上のような資料収集・整理作業と平行して、それらの分析を進め、いくつかの分野については論文を発表ないし作成中である。第一に、戦後の産業金融システムに関して、メインバンク制を補完するさまざまな政策金融・金融規制の仕組みについて英文論文を発表した。第二に、1950年代前半に経済成長が始動するにあたっての産業合理化政策の役割について経済安定本部による長期経済計画と産業合理化審議会に焦点を当てた論文を執筆しつつある。第三に、1940年代後半の産業金融における日本銀行の役割に関する論文を執筆しつつある。
