Role of Women in Japanese deep sea fisher-folk

本研究的目的是探讨渔村家庭表演民俗文化的角色，并特别考虑到妇女-妻子。为了开展研究，选择了Bonotsu（鹿儿岛县）、toashimizu （Kouchi-Ken）和Wadaura（千叶县）三个深海渔业社区作为实地调查。收集和分析了关于男子捕鱼活动、妇女消费和贸易活动、社会参与和生活史的基本数据。除了这些数据外，还考虑到了妇女的仪式地位。作为研究的结果，出版了有关渔民的传记。

The aim of the research is a role of fishing family performing folk-culture with special consideration for women-wives. For carrying out the research, three deep sea fishing communities were selected as field surveys, Bonotsu (Kagoshima-ken), Tosashimizu (Kouchi-Ken) and Wadaura (Chiba-Ken). Basic data regarding fishing activities by men, comsumption and trading activities by women, social participation and life history have been collected and analized.Besides those data, ritual status of women have been taken into account. The biography regarding fisher-folk is published as the result of the research.
