A Folkloric Study of Fishing Communities around Bungo-suido(Bungo channel)

(1)本研究是基于民俗学、历史学和语言学的实地调查，对bungo海峡周边传统渔业社区进行的区域研究。(2)中古至近代，本古海峡是包括四国和濑户内海地区在内的九州北部海上运输中心。在这样的历史背景下，与九州其他地区相比，这个地区的渔民和渔业社区能量很高。(3)选取大分县Yonozu-mura minamamabe -gun和Uwagima-shi Ehime县Uodomari两个渔业社区，分析其社会结构、民间信仰、历史、渔业活动和语言。(4)总之，在这些地区有一些文化交流，即捕鱼方法、消费品、婚姻、移民和语言。

(1) This research is an area study of traditional fishing communities around Bungo-Channel based on field research by Folkloric, Historical and Linguistic studies.(2) Bungo-Channel was center place of maritime transportation in Northen Kyushu involved Shikoku and Setonaikai zone from medieval age to Modern. And this historical back ground, Fisherfolk and fishing communities in this area were high energy compared with other areas of Kyushu.(3) We got to select two fishing communities, Yonozu-mura Minamiamabe-gun, Oita pref. and Uodomari, Uwagima-shi Ehime pref. and analyzed their social structure, folk-belief, history, fishing activities and linguistic.(4) In conclusion, there were some cultural exchanges i. e., fishing methodes, consumer goods, marriage, migrants and linguistic both in the areas.
