The mentally hadicapped persons (including the demential elderly and the mentally retarded) are difficult to live independently. So, the object of this study is to organize dwelling environment for them, through three research parts.Part 1 is to investigated it about the being at home mentallly handicapped person who contained group home resident. Part 2 is investigated it about the patient and the resident to institutions that independence degree was the lowest. As for the Part 3, the same interview questionnaire investigated the person who is not mentallly handicapped (student, silverhousing resident etc) that independence degree was high to the object to compare it with those.
