必修教科としての中学校技術・家庭科情報基礎領域の学習内容において、指導者が重視する学力観と、同領域を既習した学習者の意欲・関心度の関連を検討した。新潟県内の全中学校262校及び、県外の中学校のうち、都道府県単位で層化無作為抽出した460校の調査対象校とした。平成6年12月に郵送法により、調査の回答を依頼した。指導項目は、平成5年文部省編の技術・家庭指導資料「学習指導と評価」の領域の指導目標と観点別評価基準表のうち、調査実施者により項目数等の精選などの修正を加えた計35項目とした。指導者に5段階相対尺度分類による回答を求めた。有効回答数は、新潟県内の中学校が145校(55.3%)、県外校が184校(40%)であった。さらに、新潟県上越地区を中心に、同領域を既習した中学生に指導者と同一項目に対する学習者の意欲・関心度を、同一手法で回答を求めた。有効回答は515名(男子242名、女子273名)であった。調査の結果、学習者の多くはコンピュータを操作し、作品をつくる活動に意欲・関心を示した。特に、キーボードの操作、文字を入力し、漢字変換ができることに意欲を示し、自己課題の解決のためのBASIC言語等によるプログラミングと実行に意欲を示すことが明らかになった。一方、指導者の多くは「生活や社会における情報の利用」や、「情報を活用して生活を豊かにすること」など、教育内容の対象を「情報」ととらえ、情報処理と生活への活用」に関する指導項目をきわめて重視したが、これらの指導項目は学習者の意欲・関心が最も低い項目であったために、意識の大きな「ずれ」が生じているといえる。これらの調査結果から、同領域の教材と教育内容の混同を解消するとともに、履修年次をはじめ、小中高間の縦の整合性と、教科間の横の整合性を考慮したカリキュラムづくりと教材開発が今後の大きな課題といえる。
