本研究では,集団における意思決定過程にいたるまでの合意形成過程を意思決定に至る情報探索及び情報検討の過程として捉えることにする.この視点に立つことにより,個人の意思決定過程を分析する際に用いてきた情報探索過程を追跡する技法を援用することが可能になると思われる.具体的には,プロトコル法を用いて,集団での意思決定過程に至るまでに,どのような情報がいかなる順序で,どの程度検討されてきたのかを検討した.方法としては,大学生2人がパッケージ旅行を相談して選択するという課題を実行し,パッケージ旅行の選択に至るまでに2人が交わした会話を全て,テープレコーダーに録音すると共に,2人の行動をビデオテープに録画した.この2人の会話を収録したカセットテープ及び2人の行動を録画したビデオテープから,2人の会話及び行動を,会話の始まりから最終的な意思決定まで全て書き起こし,その意思決定過程を難波・小橋(1994)に従って記号化した.結果として,難波・小橋(1992)が提起した一対比較逐次進行型の決定プロセスは意思決定過程の初期段階より出現するのではなく,最初に,大量にあるパッケージ旅行の中から,より慎重に検討すべきパッケージ旅行を選ぶための基準,すなわち,商品属性の許容値を設定するための相談が行われてから,一対比較逐次進行型の決定プロセスが出現することが示唆された.ただ,このような結果は難波・小橋(1992)の研究でも,わずかながらであるが示唆されており,これは,集団意思決定過程をMontgomeryの意思決定過程モデルを拡張することで説明することができることを示唆していると思われる.

This study focuses on the rational decision-making process, the consensus-forming process, the rational decision-making process, the information exploration process and the information search process.
