The purpose and results of our experimental researches are as follows.1. We researched botanical garden's information, especially about kinds, format, media type, quantity, recycle time, accuracy and use etc. of information at OKINAWA Government Park and THUKUBA Experimental Botanic Garden.2. We researched the actual circumstances of each botanical garden's information system. And we realized that Japanese botanical gardens have not effective information system.3. We confirmed that it is necessary to develop Botanical Passport System for using information effectively between each botanical garden.4. And it is important to add Scientific Name Allotting System, Image Database, Geographical Information System, Panoramic Image System and Internet to Botanical Passport System.5. We developed Botanical Garden's Information Systems of OKINAWA Government Park and THUKUBA Experimental Botanic Garden by using WWW. These involve Botanical Passport System, Scientific Name Allotting System, Image Database, Geographical Information System and Panoramic Image System.6. These systems are working at these botanical gardens effectively in each Home Page.7. We developed these systems in Japanese and in English and it is possible to network between world botanical gardens.
