Observation of stream water, soil water and groundwater chemistry have been conducted in tropical rain forest in Lambir Hills National Park, Sarawak, Malaysia together with measurement on meteorological factors, soil moisture and discharge rate. Based on these observations, the possible generation mechanism for high SO_4^<2-> concentration in stream water in Lambir forest was described.
